Hidden monster

In the Waze application, you can set the mood within your profile. This mood is then displayed to all other users on the map, and can also be seen by your friends. You can represent the mood with the help of "monsters" with a certain expression, of which there are dozens available in Waze. But one monster is hidden and you won't find it in the classic mood list. If you'd like to get this monster, go to Waze, and then click the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left. Then type ## @ morph in the search text box to confirm your search. Then you will immediately see a hidden purple monster in your profile, which you can use as your current mood and display it to the public.

Railroad crossings

A few days ago, we received an update of the Waze application, in which the database of railway crossings within some foreign countries was expanded. Of course, you can be alerted to the level crossings within Waze – some of them are often in a very bad condition, or they are elevated in a certain way, so you have to drive on them slowly. To check if you have level crossing alerts active, click on the magnifying glass icon in the bottom left of the Waze app, and then click on the gear icon in the top left. Then go to the Map View section, scroll down a bit and tap Report. Here, just open the section Crossing, where you just need to set the report. Of course, you can also set alerts for many other road situations in this settings section.

History of rides

Ever wanted to see where you and Waze went in the past? If so, you can use the History of Rides section to do so. In this section of the settings, you can view all the routes you took with the Waze application turned on. To view your Waze ride history, tap the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left, then tap the settings icon at the top left. Then scroll down a bit and click Privacy in the Account category. Here, all you have to do is go a little lower again and click on the Driving History line. It should be noted that the history of rides older than three months is automatically deleted. In addition, you can click Delete all drives at the top to delete all trips written in the history.

Voice guidance settings

Virtually every navigation, in addition to a graphical display, also offers you a voice assistant, which tells you where to turn and, if necessary, informs you about a certain situation on the road. Personally, I don't quite like the assistant informing me about everything, so I'm set to inform me only about road warnings. If you would also like to set the assistant not to inform you about each turn, or so that it cannot be heard at all and you have peace of mind, then of course you can. Just click the sound icon at the bottom right of the app. A menu will open in which you can set how the assistant will inform you, you can also set the voice of the assistant. At the same time, you can select the device from which the voice instructions will be played.

Change of home and work address

Within the Waze application, you can set two favorite addresses, to which you always have quick access. These are Home and Work addresses, which you can of course easily customize. If you want to set these addresses, or if you have moved or changed jobs, it is not complicated. Just click the magnifying glass icon in the lower left corner, and then click your profile icon at the top. This will take you to the My Waze section, where you go down a bit and click on the Home and Work column. Here, simply click on the Home or Work line and set a specific address.
