Apple has released watchOS 7 to the public

With watchOS 7, Apple Watch is more powerful and personal than ever before. Here you will find new ways to discover and share dials, sleep tracking, automatic hand washing detection and new types of exercises. In Family Settings, you can pair a family member's Apple Watch with your iPhone and never lose touch with your loved ones. watchOS 7 also brings the Memoji application, cycling routes in Maps and language translations in Siri.


On the new Stripes dial, you can set the number of stripes, colors, and angle, and create a dial to suit your style (Series 4 and later).
Dial Typographer offers classic, modern and rounded numerals – Arabic, Arabic Indian, Devanagari or Roman (Series 4 and later)
The art dial created in collaboration with Geoff McFetridge constantly transforms into new works of art as time goes on or when you tap the screen
The Memoji dial contains all the memoji you have created, as well as all the standard memoji (Series 4 and later)
The GMT dial follows the second time zone – the internal dial shows the 12-hour local time and the outer dial shows the 24-hour time (Series 4 and later)
The Chronograph Pro dial records time on scales of 60, 30, 6 or 3 seconds or measures speed based on the time required to cover a constant distance on a new tachometer (Series 4 and later)
The Countdown dial allows you to easily track elapsed time by tapping the bezel (Series 4 and later)
You can share the dials in News or Mail, or you can publish a link on the Internet

School time turns on the Do Not Disturb feature, limits usage options, and replaces the dial with a distinctive yellow time display
Setting up your own School Time schedule and tracking when school time ended in class
Users under the age of 13 can track minutes on the move instead of active calories and have more accurate measurements of walking, running and cycling
One-time, recurring, and location-based notifications can be set up for family members
You can send money to family members, and users under the age of 18 can check transactions using the Apple Cash for Family feature (United States only)
Family members can share their activities and health data and learn that you've created an automatic location-based notification

How to install watchOS 7

To download watchOS 7, you must first upgrade your iPhone to iOS 14. Next, make sure your iPhone, with which you have Apple Watch paired, is connected to a Wi-Fi network and is charged. Also, make sure your Apple Watch has at least 50% battery power and connect it to a charger.

Finally, it is important to note that if you upgrade to watchOS 7, you will not be able to go back. Downgrade would have to be serviced, the average user does not have the option to upgrade back to a lower version of the system.

1. Open the Apple Watch2 app on your iPhone. In the My Watch section, click General3. Now select Software Update4. WatchOS 7 should appear as an available update 5. Click Download and Install6 below. Enter the security code for your iPhone (if you have one) 7. Choose Agree for terms 8. Make sure your Apple Watch is connected to a charger and at least 50% battery 9. Choose Install

Update watchOS 7 will start downloading and then install. Apple Watch restarts itself to load the new system. You can also watch the installation progress on your iPhone.
