How to handle the screwdriver correctly when repairing the device

Of course, everyone will answer this question by turning the screw to the right to tighten it and to the left to loosen it again. Tip 1: Choosing the right head

Different types of screwdrivers are used for different screws. Whether it's Philips, Pentalobe, Pozidriv, Torx, JIS, Tri-wing or classic flat, always use the right one. In some situations, using a screwdriver that almost fits can sometimes save the situation, such as using a flat instead of a classic Philips, but most of the time this is the beginning of the problem. Finding the difference between Philips and Torx heads is not difficult. But how to correctly distinguish Tri-wing from Tri-point? Or Philips, JIS and Pozidriv? Especially when disassembling and assembling the iPhone, pay close attention to the difference between Pentalobe, Torx and Secure Torx.

You can find tools / screwdrivers for iPhone in the FixShop menu. These heads are among the most frequently confused. Look carefully at the following pictures to distinguish them correctly. For example, if the battery in your iPhone starts to lose endurance, or you have a cracked screen or glass and you dare to deal with this problem yourself, it is ideal to have the right tools on hand to get started. With the right screwdriver for the iPhone, disassembling the iPhone is a breeze. In fact, repairing mobile phones in general, not only iPhones, but also other devices, is easier to manage when you have the right tools at hand.

Tip 2: Choose the right size

The right size means that the screwdriver completely fills the screw head, using the full depth and width of its groove. Beginners in particular tend to use a smaller screwdriver that slides easily and damages the screw head. For example, when repairing a cell phone, choosing the right size screwdriver is very important because it contains small components that could damage it.

The larger screwdriver fits into the screw only with the tip, if at all, and can also damage the screw head. If, for example, you use the wrong tools when removing the iPhone and damage the screw head, you may have trouble reassembling the iPhone. If you are not sure of the correct size screwdriver, compare it to a smaller or larger one before you start screwing. This can save you a lot of time, for example when repairing broken glass on your iPhone.

Tip 3: Proper use

Use screwdrivers only for screwdriving. This sentence may sound strange and you ask, after which others should probably use it. Well, suddenly you need to pry or chop something and the screwdriver is the first thing you have on hand. This can bend, break or possibly deform the tip of the screwdriver.

The consequence of such a damaged screwdriver is that it does not fit properly into the screw head, slides or completely destroys the grooves. If you accidentally damage your mobile phone screwdrivers in this way, you will need new electronics repair tools. Therefore, make sure that you keep your screwdrivers in good condition.

Tip 4: Proper holding and tightening technique

Keep the screwdriver in line with the screw. If the screwdriver is at an angle, does not fit the screws completely, it may slip or damage the screw head. This can be a problem especially when repairing mobile phones and small electronics. Use adequate torque to tighten the bolt. A properly tightened screw is firm, but only so that the screwdriver does not slip in it.

Tools and bits

It's pretty much a matter of feeling, so your technique will improve with practice. The more iPhones you fix, the more sophisticated your technology will be. In general, smaller bolts require less torque to tighten. Excessive tightening can damage their threads. Tighten very small screws, such as those used in tablets or mobile phones, with very little force. As soon as you feel resistance, turn only a quarter or less and stop.

The better quality screwdrivers you get for repair, the more comfortable and easier it will be for you to screw. In the FixShop you will find, among other things, a wide range of screwdrivers and various tool sets, for example for repairing mobile phones, also Screwdrivers for small electronics and, of course, special screwing heads for repairing iPhones and other devices.
