Meizu 17 will do without LPDDR5 RAM, according to Antutu
Meizu 17 ticks on Antutu: the benchmarks are missing but not (some) specific
A Chinese leaker has published on Weibo the configuration shown by Antutu regarding a mysterious device that appeared in the platform's database. It would be just Meizu 17 and even if the benchmark values are missing, the specifications offer a couple of ideas. The flagship would mount at least 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage and the Chinese media would tend to take the picture truthfully.
The real novelty is represented by RAM: according to the specifications published by Antutu it would not be an LPDDR5 solution, but the "classic" RAM LMDDR4X. Does this mean that the top of the range of the brand will give up the favorite gem of the flagship of the moment? Obviously it is impossible to give a certain answer, but the Chinese media speculate that only Meizu 17 Pro will have LPDDR5 RAM on its side while the base model will travel on lighter tracks. However, according to an alleged leak technical sheet (which you can find below), only the 8/128 GB version will be equipped with LPDDR4X RAM while the 8/256 GB and 12/256 GB configurations will rely on improved RAM.
For specifications and prices (all presumed) we refer you to this article while here you will find the renderings of the two smartphones. As for Antutu, as soon as the benchmarks are available we will update the article with all the news.
