New update for the Samsung Galaxy A41: better finger scanner, and more
A new update brings a lot of improvements to Samsung's new Galaxy A41. The device not only gets a newer security patch. The operation of the fingerprint sensor is also improving.
Galaxy A41 update June 2020
Just a month after the first update, the Galaxy A41 is getting its second firmware update today. And that, while the device will only be officially updated every three months. But as we wrote this morning: the A41 runs on a not-so-current security patch. A new update would therefore be welcome.
And see there: the 346MB major update is now rolling out for the Galaxy A41. This takes the device to firmware version A415FXXU1ATF1. This may not contain the latest security patch, but at least that of June, so that the device is finally almost completely up to date in this area. That means that the device also receives the patch of May with the fix for the "Qmage bug".
We are not there yet, as you can also read on the changelist. The update also ensures "better stability" of the camera app. In addition, the operation of the fingerprint sensor in the display is improved. In our Galaxy A41 review you could read that we were already quite satisfied with the speed of the scanner, but better is always possible.
You can now install the new update if you have a Dutch or Belgian unbranded Galaxy A41. It seems to be coming soon for the branded devices of T-Mobile and Vodafone, but it is not yet immediately available at the time of writing.
As you may be used to: as soon as your Galaxy A41 "finds" the update, you will automatically receive a notification. You can always have it searched immediately if you go to Software update via Settings and tap Download and install there.
