POCO M2 Pro should be a remix of Redmi Note 9 Pro: everything you need to know about the new model
#POCO # POCOM2Pro So guys I congratulate you! POCO M2 Pro (M2003J6CI) will be launched soon in India. As I told you before, it will look like this 😉
Feel free to retweet if you are not confused by rebranding # RedmiNote9Pro Global Version 👍 pic.twitter.com/napBDWv3ym

The leaker Xiaomishka – as anticipated at the beginning – has published an image dedicated to POCO M2 Pro, which shows what the design of the device should be. Frontally there is space – just like on Redmi Note 9 Pro – a large full-screen panel with a hole for the selfie camera, in the center of the display. The back cover houses a square Quad Camera, positioned high in the center of the body and with a slightly different design than the Redmi model.
Also according to Xiaomishka, therefore the device would be a rebrand of the smartphone of the Xiaomi rib, once again dedicated to the Indian market.
Design and specifications
Wanting to take these rumors for good, at this point the specifications of POCO M2 Pro are somewhat clear.
Redmi Note 9 Pro
The mid-range will have a 6.67 ″ Full HD + LCD display, with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Under the body there will be space for the Snapdragon 720G, accompanied by LPDDR4X RAM memories and UFS 2.1 storage, with a 5,020 mAh battery (and charging from 18W). The photographic sector should offer a 48 + 8 + 5 + 2 MP module with wide angle and macro, while frontally we would have a 16 MP selfie camera. Obviously it is not said that these are the definitive specifications: maybe, even if it is a rebrand, POCO M2 Pro could reveal some surprises.
POCO M2 Pro – Price and availability | Update 1/07
After a few weeks of silence, the Asian company has finally lifted the curtain on the release date and the presentation event of POCO M2 Pro. The device will debut in India through the Flipkart e-commerce, where the launch has been confirmed for on July 7th. The page dedicated to the device – you can find it in the source – also presents some video teasers, but without details on specifications and design.
The teaser dedicated to the date, on the other hand, shows how the rear look will look (complete with a square Quad Camera) and once again it is impossible not to notice a similarity with the aforementioned Redmi.
As for the price of POCO M2 Pro, at the moment there are no rumors about it. However, based on Redmi Note 9 Pro, we could assume a figure of about € 180 at the exchange rate (for the 6/64 GB version) up to a maximum of € 226 for the increased 8/128 GB model. However, this is absolutely not official prices and for all the details (also as regards the memory cuts) we will necessarily have to wait for further news.
POCO M2 Pro coming soon with Fast Charge | Update 02/07
From what we have seen in these hours, it seems that POCO M2 Pro will be equipped with 33W quick charge. Everything has been confirmed by the short teaser that you find below, where this feature is shown. It seems, therefore, that this smartphone does not want to miss almost anything.
In the coming days, before the official launch, new information will surely arrive, so stay connected.
Here are the first results on Geekbench
In addition to the details on fast charging, there are also news regarding the performance of the device. POCO M2 Pro would appear on Geekbench, reaching 554 and 1757 points (in single and multi core respectively). It also shows the presence of a Qualcomm processor and Android 10, together with 6 GB of RAM. As for the SoC, only the base frequency of 1.8 GHz is reported, but it should be the Snapdragon 720G (wanting to take for good the clues that see the device as a rebrand of Redmi Note 9 Pro).
