QCY T2 review-good battery life with DSP
TWS has become a trend in 2019. Manufacturers are busy launching their own true wireless products. Manufacturers like QCY even set TWS earbuds’ price to a low range. Who is QCY? In fact, QCY first entered the public vision for Xiaomi OEM. Then QCY released some of their own products, which left customers good impressions. Recently we have reviewed QCY L2 and QCY T8. It is quite a good headphone with nice ANC noise canceling. Today I would like to review another product from QCY. So folks, check out my QCY T2 review before to see if it is worth your money!
The packaging of QCY T2 is small and fresh, but quite valid.
The accessories are also quite normal. There are a manual, a charging cable, three pairs of earmuffs, and a charging box in the box. To be honest, unboxing is quite normal for me. Compared to 1More, QCY still has a lot to improve.
The charging box is cylindrical, and the quality is quite excellent. The material is made of plastic and metal, and the black and gray color is also quite good.
However, despite the good appearance, this shell is easy to get fingerprints, especially in hot summer days. Fortunately, QCY T2 has IPX4 waterproof. The charging port is on the bottom with four power indicators. The charging box has 580 mAh battery built in, which can support charging for 5 times. The total battery life can reach 48 hours, and the standby time is about 140 hours. In the actual use, the battery life is around 25 hours when the music is on, which is also very good compared to other earbuds.
The net weight of the single ear is 3.9g. And the lighter body reduces the pressure on the ear. Compared to Redmi Airdots we have reviewed before, QCY T2’s head is obviously smaller.
Good appearance gives people a good impression at first glance, so how about the experience when using it? First of all, my ears didn’t feel any pressure when wearing it. The small body still brings a better in-ear experience.
QCY T2 supports auto-pairing. And when you put the earbuds in the charing box it automatically starts charging. When you take the earbuds out of the charging box it will automatically connect to the phone. This simple way brings a good interactive experience.
QCY T2 uses physical key control. It is rare that there are a multi-function key and volume control button on the left and right earbuds. When you are listening to music, you can control the volume with only one click, which is relatively rare in TWS earbuds.
However, it is not easy to learn the button control function. Answering the call, awakening the voice assistant, pausing the song and adjusting the volume need different controls.
Let’s talk about wearing experience. Many people expect to wear it for a long time. In fact, no headphones can do this. However, QCY T2’s light body and side-in-ear design are more ergonomic and can bring more comfort.
3. Sound quality
QCY T2 features a new Bluetooth 5.0 chip with a more stable wireless connection, near-lossless HD quality, and ultra-low delay. QCY T2 has a built-in audio decoder, and it supports AAC advanced audio coding technology. It can improve the resolution of the sound and bring more rich details. With the new 6mm full-range sound unit and a thinner PET diaphragm, it is clear that QCY T2 is expected to deliver even better sound quality.
The 6mm diameter speaker unit, although not large, but the sense of hearing is commendable. The headphone tuning style is quite neutral. The medium frequency is solid and clean; The high-frequency resolution is good, there is no serious hairy feeling.
Bluetooth 5.0 performs well, there is no problem with the synchronization between the left and right channels. And the delay is not so much. But if you are playing games like PUBG, you will still sense the delay.
QCY T2 not only supports binaural stereo calls, but also supports DSP passive noise canceling technology. Besides, QCY T2’s pickup effect will be much better than QCY T1. It is probably because of noise canceling technology. In addition, single-use is also a good feature.
4. Summary of QCY T2 review
In short, features like Bluetooth 5.0, binaural use, automatic pairing, long battery life and noise canceling, meet my requirements for mainstream TWS earbuds. The price of QCY T2 is only around $40. It is quite worth your money.
