Over the last 24 hours, several manufacturers have announced that they will launch mobile with the new Snapdragon 865 and Snapdragon 765G processors. So far, Xiaomi, Meizu and OPPO have confirmed that they have devices with the Snapdragon 865 ready for launch early next year. Today, Nubia joined the team with the Red Magic 5G gaming smartphone.

Red Magic's official Weibo account today announced that its upcoming Red Magic 5G smartphone will be the first 5G gaming smartphone powered by the new Snapdragon 865.

Other details about the upcoming phone have not been disclosed at this time. Red Magic 3 was released in May and if Nubia stays on the same schedule, we still have 5 months before the new device comes out.

Some of the features we expect to see include a larger battery, but probably no major boost since its predecessor already had a huge 5000mAh battery. We can also expect more air ducts or cooling pipes to maintain low temperature. The mobile can also be rolled out with new faster charging technology and more than one rear camera.

We expect other smartphone gaming makers such as Black Shark and ASUS to also announce new phones for 2020 that will also have the new processor.
