Samsung Galaxy Note 10 will receive a September update with One UI 2.5
After the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S10, Samsung is now also rolling out the One UI 2.5 update to Galaxy Note 10. It arrives today together with the September security patch in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Galaxy Note 10 September 2020 update: One UI 2.5
When Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 20 at the end of August, it quickly became clear that the Note 10 will also get the same version of the One UI interface. A week ago the rollout already started elsewhere in Europe, today it will arrive in the Low Countries.
You can now download the update OTA on the first devices to firmware version N97 * FXXU6DTH7. On the Note 10 and Note 10 Plus, the package is no less than 1150MB in size, but you get something for that.
First of all, of course, the September security update is installed. It contains 89 improvements for the security of the Android system, and another 15 fixes for Samsung's applications. These are not all relevant to the Note 10, but installation is of course always worthwhile.
Most of today's update is of course the One UI 2.5 interface. It succeeds version 2.1, which the Galaxy Note 10 received in the spring. One UI 2.5 includes the option to use DeX wirelessly via Miracast. In the Wi-Fi options, the option to request a password will now appear if a phone of a contact – who is already connected to the network – is near you and.
In addition, the Samsung keyboard will be updated and the camera app will be given some new options. In the Pro video mode, you can now choose more video formats, for example. In Single recording mode you can now set a fixed recording time between 5 and 15 seconds. And last but not (e) least, the Samsung Notes app has been significantly updated, so that you can directly import PDF files, or add handwritten text more easily.
The update is now immediately available OTA on the unbranded Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus in the Netherlands and Belgium. Did you buy your branded device from Vodafon? Then, as almost always, you have to have a little more patience – but in the end you will get this update just as well.
You will automatically receive a notification as soon as your Note 10 can download the update – or you do not wait for this, and go directly to Software update and Download and install via the Settings.
