Samsung Galaxy S20 FE gets the same battery capacity as the Galaxy S20 +, comes to Europe in bright colors

It is now clear that Samsung wants to release a fourth model in the Galaxy S20 series – the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition (FE). We have now learned from a reliable source what battery that device will get. In addition, the device comes to Europe in a set of surprisingly cheerful colors.

Galaxy S20 FE battery capacity

The Galaxy S20 FE should in principle soon appear in two variants: one with 4G (SM-G780) and one with 5G (SM-G781). From the latter we find out details of the battery, which is probably exactly the same in the first variant.

The battery of the Galaxy S20 FE carries product code EB-BG781ABY. We know that it has a so-called rated capacity of 4370 mAh. We keep it up to date: that's exactly the same rated capacity as the battery of the Galaxy S20 Plus. It is also clear that the S20 FE will have the same typical capacity of 4500 mAh.

Incidentally, the Galaxy S10 Lite – which appeared earlier this year – also already had a 4500 mAh battery, so that remains Samsung's go-to capacity for entry-level versions of its top model series.

In addition, we can confirm a recent Korean report on the Galaxy S20 FE's cameras. The main sensor indeed has a 12 megapixel resolution, just like the wide-angle lens. The optical zoom lens has to do with an 8MP sensor.

To Europe in cheerful colors

It is certain that the device will be released in Europe – quite probably a Dutch release will follow. In addition, Samsung seems to have opted for a red, white, green, and orange versions. Whether they all end up in our stores is of course not certain.

Still, it will take a while before Samsung will really launch the Galaxy S20 FE. Finally, in August, the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will also come on the market, as well as the Galaxy Z Fold 2. But who will soon not be counting € 1000 or more for one of these devices, may well have a good one in the fall on the S20 FE. The price is expected to be several hundred euros lower in terms of price – indeed, just like the S10 Lite, at the beginning of this year.
