Samsung event: Galaxy S20 FE launch

We have been following the arrival of the Fan Edition of the Galaxy S20 for some time now. That is, in fact, just the successor to the Galaxy S10 Lite. Almost all details of the device leaked in recent weeks – from the specs to the colors in which you can purchase the Galaxy S20 FE soon. Samsung has now let us know when we can officially get acquainted with the device.

The online event Unpacked for Every Fan will take place on 23 September. Not only the name is a direct hint to the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition. The accompanying short video invitation shows exactly all the colors of the device.

Release date and price

In fact, we already know everything about the device, with its Snapdragon 865 soc and 4500 mAh battery. There is a 12MP main camera, a 12MP wide angle and an 8MP zoom lens. The front camera has a 32MP resolution.

The event on September 23 therefore has to answer two more questions. The first: when will the Galaxy S20 FE be in the shops? The second: how much should it cost?

The speculative answers are "in the course of October" and "around 750 euros" respectively. The event will provide exact information next week.

How relevant will the S20 FE be? With the other Galaxy S20 models, for example, you get better cameras, and a separate S20 is not more expensive. Or is it the fact that the S20 FE is the only one with no Exynos 990 processor, but rather the more efficient Qualcomm chip?
