Galaxy Watch Active 2 now gets Tizen 5.5 update
Since last month you can buy the Galaxy Watch 3 in the Netherlands. By default, that watch runs on Tizen OS version 184.108.40.206, and can do a few tricks that the Watch Active 2 doesn't know. Earlier this month, Samsung announced that it would update the latter to the new version of the OS, including a few of the new features. That update is now available in the Netherlands and Belgium.
An almost 300MB update can now be downloaded to your phone via the Galaxy Wearable app. It contains firmware version R820XXU1CTI4 (44mm version) or R830XXU1CTI4 (40mm version). So it includes Tizen 220.127.116.11, and One UI 2.0 for watches.
New features include Running Analysis2, fall detection, Smart reply with a finer chat system, and support for AR Emoji and Bitmoji. And just like on your phone, you can now take "scrolling" screenshots on the Watch Active 2, which aren't just limited to what's right on the screen.
You can now download the update on all Galaxy Watch Active 2 models sold in the Netherlands and Belgium. As soon as you connect your watch to your phone, Galaxy Wearble will check if there is an update. You can also tap Software update in the Watch Active 2 tab in Galaxy Wearable (at the bottom of the menu).
Did the update go well for you? Or not? What kind of news do you still come across?
