Set up the Amazon Echo Dot – that's how it works
This is needed to set up the Echo Dot
Everything you need to set up the small Echo speaker is included. In order for consumers to be able to use the device, the Echo Dot must be connected to the mains. A stable Wi-Fi connection is also required, as is the latest version of the Alexa app (Android | iOS), which must be installed on the smartphone or tablet.
After downloading the app in the respective store, it is necessary to set up an Amazon account or to log in with an existing account.

Once all of the previous steps have been completed and the Alexa app installed, setting up the Echo Dot for the Smart Home begins:
Connect the Echo Dot to the mains. There is an LED on the top of the Echo Dot, this should light up blue and then orange after the connection. In addition, the voice assistant Alexa answers and greets the user. Then open the installed Alexa app on the smartphone or tablet. Then select "Devices", tap on the "+" symbol and then select "Add devices". A list opens in which the item "Amazon Echo" is to be selected. This completes the setup of the Echo Dot and the voice assistant Alexa can be put into operation and controlled with voice commands. It is also possible to use Alexa Skills and control Alexa-compatible devices.
