According to the first information from beta testers, the possibilities that mouse and trackpad support in Word and Excel already bring are really wide and make working with applications much simpler. In addition, it can be assumed that over time, Microsoft will add support for more and more elements of the application, bringing it significantly closer to its computer version. After all, the same is definitely true of Apple itself, which in recent years has made no secret of the fact that it would like to turn the iPad into a full-fledged alternative to the Mac. And it is by improving iPadOS applications with elements known from their computer versions that he succeeds.

It is not yet known exactly when Microsoft intends to release an update that will make mouse and trackpad support available in its two Office applications. However, it can be assumed that he will not spend too much time with the tests, as in the past he promised to intend to instill this tweak in his applications in the autumn of this year. So he doesn't have that much time to fulfill his promises.
