Xiaomi will release MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition for mid-range smartphones

In August, the Chinese company Xiaomi announced MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition, an updated version of the proprietary firmware MIUI 12.5. It was originally assumed that the update would be available only for the top models of the brand.

But now the company has unexpectedly announced a second phase of the upgrade, which will cover a wide range of mid-range Xiaomi devices.

I must say that MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition is an important update to MIUI 12.5, which solves almost three hundred problems with the system and system applications, as well as includes several new features. The main features of the updated system are three – the so-called "liquid" storage, atomic memory and a special algorithm for determining the priority of tasks for the user. And if at first MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition received only flagship devices, such as Xiaomi Mi MIX 4, Mi 11, Redmi K40 and POCO F3, now the manufacturer is ready to release an update for "middle-aged". For them, the distribution of the updated firmware will begin on October 8 and end at the end of the same month. In addition, Xiaomi has promised to release a third batch of upgrades to MIUI 12.5 EE in the future. However, the company did not specify which devices will receive the firmware in the third stage and when this will happen.
